While studying for an undergraduate degree at MTSU, Dr. Addison worked as a certified pharmacy technician. Originally, his intention was to enter pharmacy school and serve the community via this avenue. During these years, Dr. Addison began to experience an internal paradigm shift. As a HEALTH care provider, he felt as if it were the ultimate responsibility of a practitioner to positively impact a patient’s quality of life. However, he began to notice quite the opposite in a majority of the patients he encountered. While a few patients got better and some patients were maintained in a symptomless state of disease, many of them got worse leading to even more medications and a decreased quality of life. Upon graduation from MTSU, Dr. Addison began to reflect on his experiences and search for an alternative avenue to health. It was at this time that he was introduced to chiropractic by a family member. He was skeptical at first, but after experiencing a complete resolution of asthma symptoms that he had been battling since the age of 7…He was convinced. But could it be that easy? Throughout Dr. Addison’s educational journey he was amazed time and time again at the ability of the human body to heal. Over and over… he was convinced.
